  2. Do black people EVER visit your store? Or is it racist for you to draw one? Black folks be liking comics, too.

    1. Maybe it's like Wapsi Square where you can't tell who has what skin color because all the characters are just line art on white background with no greytones.

    2. I'm black and i go to comic stores all they time ¬_¬

As for this guy, stupid as it is, he makes a good point. In the comic shop i go to, there's one guy who really does seem to be paid to read. He even gets annoyed when you "bother" him to buy stuff.

      Dream Job.

    3. Maybe the black people who go to this store aren't raging idiots.

    4. Maybe it is due to location. Some areas have very few black people living nearby.

  3. Because that is how you run a business.

  5. Ugh! -It's guys like THIS that give pot-smokers a bad, bad, horribly stereotypical reputation... ummm, dog.

    1. Having known more than my fair share of pot smokers, I'd have to say that it's guys like this that are your average pot smoker.

    2. Well, Sir- that... that makes my heart hurt. I'm going to go take a monster-bong-hit now and play with my new and shiny Sony Vegas Movie Studio...

    3. No offense meant to you or anyone else. I'm just calling it like I've seen it.

    4. I know one A-grade pothead that has been unemployed for about 4 years and has no intention of finding a job. I know another mega-pothead who is a leader in her industry and about to make partner in her firm. There are stereotypes and there are exceptions to the rule.

  6. And then he asked for a job application.

  8. Come on, now, don't leave us in suspense...
    ...did you hire him?

  9. OVC,"I wish I WORKED here" but apparently he don't do windows...

  10. I guess his girlfriend has a job.

  11. Well? Did you hire him?

  12. And working at the store would differ from your regular life...how?

  13. I think the more important question is: How does he have a girlfriend?!

  14. Wait, he called his girlfriend 'Dog'?

Just going by my love life, but that sounds like a deal breaker to me.

  15. I assume this was after you said, "Good day, sir. How do you do?"

  16. Maybe HIS name is Dog.

    'That's me, Dog.'

  17. Oy! I hope you remember his face, just in case he ever comes in with his resume!

  18. Surprisingly I think he ran my old comic shop, just before it closed

  19. Why do I read this comic again? It's just a scary reminder that these jackenapes all live around me.

  20. Sadly, I've seen a few comic shops run with this guy's business model - though in a couple of cases "smoking pot" could be replaced with "eating pizza" or "eating an entire bucket of fried chicken"

  21. What’s “smokin’ out”?
