  2. Just like when people protested Valve's Left 4 Dead 2 and put them out of business! Oh wait.

  3. I'm actually excited about the relaunch. DC has kind of pissed me off for a few years now with being late and piss poor story lines. I hope that this new jumpstart will go well. Previews last week really looked good. I'm really excited for the new Justice League book and Justice League Dark.

  4. Why would they protest Left 4 Dead 2? I thought people loved getting games made by Valve.

  5. Oh to be young naive idealist again.

  6. *sarcasm mode on* Yes, because the comic industry is famous for listening to its fanbase.

  7. Anonymous @ 2:14 PM, There's a laundry list of complaints over here.

By the by, didn't it turn out that a bunch of people that were part of this boycott had actually preordered L4D2?

  8. @Alasdair - Hence the relevance.

  9. I didn't know it worked that way. Here I come Marvel...you WILL give Spidey back his Spider-Sense!

  11. That is just so cute! He actually thinks big companies listen to people! OR that anyone with actual decision making power doesn't hate the customers!

  12. I like how everyone is laughing because he thinks he can make a change and big companies won't listen.

It's funny because he wants to change their changes. That they are going to make a real change...about some real change.

  13. I give 12 months and the old numbering will be back. Prime example Captain America 1 came out 3 years ago and now it's up to 619

  14. The first poster had the exact same response as I did a moment ago.

  15. "I mean, I'll still buy anything even tangetically involving Batman, no matter how awful and overpriced it may be, but that just gives them MORE reason to hear my voice, right?"

  16. *sigh*
    TANGENTICALLY, I meen.

  17. And if that doesn't work, we'll start an e-petition!

  18. Is that a real thing? Are a bunch of angry nerds REALLY going to protest DC at SDCC?

  19. Remember when people were complaining about the convoluted state of the DC Universe, and wishing for another Crisis on Infinite Earths-style reboot? When was that, last year?

  20. He's aware, of course, that large swathes of humanity still aren't sure how they are going to not die tomorrow.

Liking comics is one thing, calling for "mass protests" is another.

  21. Sure, if you're loud enough. But listening =/= obeying.

  22. Meh, I feel his pain, but fail to see the point of protest. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Just wait a few months, and DC will put it all back the way it was. Till then, go outside. It's nice out.

  23. Let's get tough. The time for talking is over. Call it extreme if you like, but I propose we hit it hard and hit it fast with a major - and I mean major - leaflet campaign, and while DC is reeling from that, we'd follow up with a whist drive, a car boot sale, some street theatre and possibly even some benefit concerts. Okay? Now, if that's not enough, I'm sorry, it's time for the T-shirts: "Resets Out" ... "Single Digit Issue Numbers?, No Thanks" ... and if that's not enough, well, I don't know what will be.

  24. I work in a comic book store but I do not call myself an "expert" on DC comics. I'm more of a Marvel Guy myself, however, consumers in my store are, for now, protesting with their wallets. Several DC subscriptions have been canceled where I work and we aren't selling as many individual releases as we used to. That being said, DC will do what it wants to do and holding a protest at SDCC isn't going to do anything but get you on the 11 news if it's a slow news day.

  25. It could be worse. It could be a Facebook group.
