  18. Worse than crossovers are the gritty reboots that follow. everyone knows it won't stick, so it just wastes time, and gets in the way of the book you were trying to read.

  21. Y'know, I completely agree with this one. Crossovers and megaevents and "nothing will ever be the same" stunts should be done sparingly, not one per year. Even if they drive the sales up for a little while, they leave the continuity into a confusing state and if you have a megaevent every year, that confusion never ends.

    Just let it rest for a while. Step back and don't touch anything for five years or so. Let them build the next sandcastle before you kick it all apart.
