THE GATEKEEPER HAS SPOKEN!

  1. Actually this guy might be onto something. If we never let anyone new into any old fandoms, eventually the old fandoms will die out. And the multiplexes will be forced to start showing new IPs.

    1. I think part of the problem with new IPs is that so many people say they want to see them, and then half the people who do watch them watch pirated downloads instead of spending money at the theater, so the original movies greatly underperform. For example, I work with like five different people who were talking about Ex Machina a while back during lunch. Every one of them had watched it at home via a torrent site instead of spending the money to support the movie and others like it.

  2. Why that's brilliant! You don't want the thing that you like to become...*gasp*...POPULAR!

  3. Hmm avengers yeah. How can the average cinema-goer's tiny pea brain possibly comprehend the sophisticated and mature complexity of musclebound oafs punching each other for 3 hours to determine who will possess the technomagical macguffin if they haven't read several hundred avengers comics beforehand?
