Because memories are for suckers...

  1. There are a lot of musicians, including Jack White and Billie Joe Armstrong, who have spoken out against constantly having your phone out during events. First of all, it's because you're not actually living in that moment. You're documenting it, watching the whole thing happen through a tiny screen in your phone. Second, it's because the people behind you paid to see the event - they didn't pay to look at you holding up your phone in front of them all evening.

Bottom line: Sometimes it's a good thing to put down your phone and just live in the moment.

  2. When Facebook went down the other day, it was like all those people ceased to exist for a half hour. Creepy...

  5. Ah, yes. The equivalent of the tribe of Australian Aborigines who continually tell their religion's stories, lest they be forgotten, and the universe with it.

    *JUST* like that. >.>
