There are a lot of musicians, including Jack White and Billie Joe Armstrong, who have spoken out against constantly having your phone out during events. First of all, it's because you're not actually living in that moment. You're documenting it, watching the whole thing happen through a tiny screen in your phone. Second, it's because the people behind you paid to see the event - they didn't pay to look at you holding up your phone in front of them all evening.
