  2. I know how she feels... In 1990 when MIAMI VICE got cancelled it was like my generation's Vietnam.

    1. Years ago there was a 14 year old kid on the SuperHeroHype.com forums saying that The Dark Knight is what led to Obama's election, and how the Dark Knight was his generation's Woodstock. It was fantastic.

  3. Just had to take a moment to deal with the fact that there now exists a generation for whom 9/11 is not their 9/11.

    1. Yeah, this comic needs a "I feel old now" tag.

    4. Yeah, I have a kiddo who's 11 and we recently went to New York. She had only a vague idea of what had happened. It was a strange moment for me to realize that she has about the same concept of that as I had of D Day as a kid -- unclear on what happened, but knew it was a big deal, and didn't really care either way.

  4. I feel sorry for that poor cat. She's constantly dragged around from one public appearance to the next, so dilettantes and hipsters can get their photo taken with her. Cats don't want to go to SXSW and listen to Fat Mike screaming about cocaine. They want to lay around a house and climb on things.

I'd be grumpy too if I was that cat.

  6. My issue is thus - I'm not sure she isn't right...

And thinking that makes me very, very sad...

    1. How could the loss of thousands of human lives equate to the loss of one, albeit popular, cat? Are you suggesting that the youth of america are that desensitized to their fellow humans? Or that this is one heckuva cat?

    2. More to the point, are you suggesting that in the aftermath of the death of this cat wars will be fought? So distraught will the generation be that they will readily send their children off to fight anybody who has nothing to do with the death of the cat in their attempt to assign blame?
