  2. Young love? Hell, me and the wife have this argument now and we're in our late 30s/early 40s. :)

  4. My girlfriend is much the same way. Even though the comment of "make" her watch is hyperbolic, nothing makes her want to dig in her heels more than being told she has no choice.

Makes sense to me, I don't want to mow the lawn if I'm told I have to do it by anyone. If left to my own devices though, of course I want to do it, it makes the yard look nice.

    1. Yup. Definitely Woman Logic in action.

Of course we all know she didn't really want to go see that movie in the first place; this is just her ploy to try to make that into her boyfriend's fault.

And if she really wants to go see a different movie she'll no doubt blame her boyfriend for NOT making her go see that one.

    2. Because, clearly, not wanting to do something after being told you will be FORCED to is totally a woman thing. Normal humans (men) never to anything of the kind.

    3. Oh please. How, exactly, do you FORCE someone to watch a movie? Short of some clockwork orange scenario (and just how likely is that?) claiming it is just melodramatic hyperbole.

    5. When I'm told "You HAVE to watch this movie," it generally makes me less receptive to doing so. Generally, just saying "This movie is really good" or "Let's watch this movie now" tends to make me more receptive to the idea.
