  7. Would you get that same, indestructible feeling if you wore a pair of torn purple pants?

  9. You know, these warm and fuzzy ones are making the angry, critical and bitter nerd inside of me feel VERY uncomfortable. STOP MAKING ME FEEL THINGS THAT AREN'T HATE, MR. TIM!!!
When I was a little kid I had the Superman feety-pajamas with the cape that attached to the shoulders with Velcro... I thought I could fly!
-I was never dumb enough to jump out of a window, though... just off of the top bunk and onto a pile of pillows... That's somehow NOT as "super" as punching metal. Maybe he meant to say he wished he could punch TIME.

  11. I had a Supergirl costume for Halloween when I was about 7, and I remember thinking the exact same thing. Well, not the punching metal part, but the rest. I imagine everyone who reads superhero comics felt - heck, FEELS - the exact same way.

  13. I like wearing my Superman t-shirt because it reminds me to try and be helpful. One day, while walking from college to the subway, I saw a woman with a special needs individual; she was trying to flag someone down to help get the motorized wheel chair into the trunk of her car, but people kept right on passing. When I got close, she asked me, and I said, "Yes, I would be glad to." After it was done, she thanked me and said "I knew YOU would help, because you're wearing a Superman shirt." That made my day.

Anyway, this kid is awesome. He should team up with the Captain America kid.

  15. When I was a kid (in the 1960s) every Superman Halloween costume sold had this warning printed on it: "This suit won't make you fly. Only Superman can fly." There were rampant rumors that a child was killed jumping from an upper-floor window wearing a Superman outfit, and that warning was generally viewed as confirmation of the rumor. (Many kids also believed that George Reeves died that way; this was before you could simply Google his name and find out that he had shot himself.)

  16. A new website Artsuperhero.com recently launched a T-shirt collection with 4 super heroes : Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern. None of the t-shirts allows you to fly but they are still awesome!
    Check them on the website!
