I confess that as a seven- or eight-year-old boy growing up in the nation's capital, I was rather perturbed to discover that DC Comics were published out of New York City.
I rarely marvel at Marvel Comics any more. They just don't do it for me like they used to. (Dark Horse Comics, however, are still penned and inked by blue roan and black colored horses)
Who would've thought that it stands for Washington, Detective Comics...
