While discussing the shortcomings of popular cartoons...

  1. I'm sure 'Family Guy' will eventually do this.

  2. Does she not have the internet?

  3. Yeah! More prime time network family tv shows need to have full frontal nudity and characters fucking.

  4. Who exactly does she expect to see? Half of the characters are kids, most of the rest are creepy. Do we really need a full frontal Homer Simpson or Barney Gumble running about? (Although they did have an episode based around a full frontal Monty Burns.)

  6. by today's sexploitaion soaked media standards, NOT showing fucking and full frontal nudity is actually pretty progressive.

  7. Apparently she didn't see the movie. As far as nudity anyway, thankfully not explicit sex.

  8. And yet, there was a time that this was ALL you'd see in banner ads all over the 'net, was Scooby doing Velma, Lois sucking Peter, Stewie giving it to Meg, Bart behind Marge...

It's not my kind of thing, but really, it's not like it's that hard to find.

  9. Didn't family technically already do this in the episode where they were Peter and Lois were stoned?

  10. Dude, it's network tv, not HBO.

  11. Tigerama: I've never seen those.

Is it one of those things where cookies or spyware or whatever check your browsing history and provide you with ads based on your deepest interests?

  12. Wow.
Can the customers who shop at your store get any dumber?
    Seriously...........

  13. Porn is progressive. *Nod, nod*

  14. Vermis - no, asshat. But thanks for trying.

  15. @Tigerama: You still see ads like those, even on porn sites that just host regular porn. I guess you're just not going to the right porno sites if you aren't seeing them... or maybe you are...

  17. Family Guy has shown penis, and it was much more detailed than the Simpson's Movie. I'm still trying to find all the internal organs I vomited up when I saw that.

Also, there was an episode of the Simpsons that had Marge and Homer running around town naked. They didn't show anything more than butts (and they've shown 10 year old butts in the past), but they had some sequences where they kept running behind stuff that strategically covered their bits. In particular, there was the mechanical lumberjack lawn ornament, where Homer said "I just don't trust these guys", implying that he was getting hard from running around town naked.

All that said, is the Simpsons progressive? Well, Family Guy was accused of ripping off the Simpsons, but at least Family Guy had an original format. The Simpsons has been ripping off South Park and Family Guy since 1999.

  18. Five words:

    BART, GET OUT! I'M PISS!

  19. The Simpsons WAS progressive and brilliant fifteen years ago.

Damn me for knowing what you're talking about. Damn me to hell...

  21. what does she want simpsons to become animated porn. guess she did not see the episode where comic book guy and skinners mothers were in the middle of doing it and got busted by wiggums and crew. that would then make her change her desire for the simpsons to do full frontal nudity

  22. Simpssons ripped off Family Guy? So how many times do the Simpsons do a cutaway in an episode instead of just telling a story? I like Family guy, but the two are different animals.
