  3. I have a friend who is pretty into Futurama and swears Fry should have ended up with Amy. Leela was too smart for Fry. And I think I agree.

  4. Fry did end up with Amy in one of the first run (before Comedy Central) episodes. Amy and Fry didn't work because both were immature. Leela was smart, sure, but Fry's simpleness was a nice counterpoint for her character.

  6. we can't get it and we won't, cause we're so primitive as opposed to the people of the year 3000

  7. The eye is kind of gross, given that it's the size of two eyes pressed together - I think I'd be more afraid of what being a sewer mutant has done to her lady parts.

  8. He just knows that Leela could kick his ass.

  9. If I were my own grandfather, I'd probably find one-eyed sewer mutants attractive, too.

  11. There's an episode where Leela gets plastic surgery to make her face normal, she totally looks better as a cyclops.

Whatever the condition of her lady parts may be, Zapp Brannigan can't get enough of it!

  13. "Zapp Brannigan can't get enough of it!"

I think that's more of a general rule for Zapp, rather than specific to Leela

  14. THAT guy thinks weird, unattractive people don't deserve love? Sounds like a cry for help.

  15. For whatever reason, when I look at Leela, the thing that sticks out to me as being unattractive isn't that she has one eye or purple hair.

    It's those boots.

  16. To be fair, the Matt Groening style does not encourage attractiveness as much as goofiness.
