  1. If it hadn't been for that horse, I never would have spent that year in college.

  2. Do 50% of the people that come into that store wear Green Lantern shirts or is that just a design placeholder for you?

  3. Damn, does that mean I've been a hipster since '99 or did you have to join Netflx after a certain point?

  4. Dude, Vince, since '99? That means you were using Netflix before it was cool.

  5. Real men use Blockbuster...oh, right.

  6. I'm pretty sure that makes him MORE of a hipster, Ross. Those of us who got are accounts in the last few years are ruining Netflix for people like Vince.

  7. I refuse to use Netflix and I still make of habit of renting VHS whenever possible. I don't consider myself a hipster but I suppose one could make an argument that that's a "hipster-ish" thing to do.

  8. oh no, how can i prevent being a hipster?! oh my gosh, i'm afraid i might be turning into a hipster, i have to wear glasses sometimes, don't hipsters wear glasses?! oh man, i found myself a little short on cash so i ordered a PBR, does that mean I'm a hipster now?!
Hipsters are responsible for al queda, I'm pretty sure. anyway, alls i know is an awful lot of people have been talking about how much they hate "hipsters" so i have to make sure everything i do is something THEY (the enemy) wouldn't do.
hipster hipster hipster, yeah that word still holds some kind of meaning in 2011.

  9. The 'only hipsters' part notwithstanding, I'm more amused by the fact that he seems to think the only reason one would own a laptop in the first place is to use Netflix on it.

  10. Guy is in a store dedicated to consuming. Guy is consuming. Guy is complaining about other consumers.

My complaint about today's culture is people try to be pretentious based on consumption, rather than qualities far more valuable (such as actually taste and talent).

This man doesn't realize that he's just trained to be a consumer.

  11. @Matt C.

Of course these are design place holders, do you honsetly expect him to remember exactly what everyone looked like....or does it even matter?

  12. I guess Netflix must not be compatible with desktop PCs.

  13. Real hipsters use film reels.

  14. Hipsters are ridiculously image conscious and avoid things they might enjoy to avoid a negative image.

This guy is doing pretty much the same thing.

  15. I don't understand his logic. Any of it.

  16. Seeing as Netflix has become the most popular mode of Video Rental, I highly doubt that any hipster would be caught dead using it. That's how Hipsters operate.

  18. @Matt c. Yeah, ever since Blackest Night the best selling tshirt in my store has been the green lantern logo shirt. We can't keep them in stock. The G.L. Logo shirt is the new batman logo shirt of the fair weather comic scene fan.

  19. "Well, I'm so glad I don't use Netflix. I'm quite content with my Betamax machine, my VCD player and my 8-track."

  20. Hipsters download and steal movies because they are too cheap to pay for them in any format.

  21. Comic Book Guy seems to have lost some weight.

  22. @Honky Magoo
It makes me sad when I see so many in Green Lantern Shirts and I am the only one reppin Larfleeze Avarice.
