On the subject of the FANTASTIC FOUR...

  1. I've been saying that for years.

  2. You don't see the Invisible Woman complaining at all.

  3. Reed Richards is "good at math" in the same way that Kenshiro is "good at martial arts."

  4. Being able to seemingly outwit everyone in the universe is a pretty sweet ability. The stretchiness I always thought was kind of secondary.

  5. Somewhere in the world, Doctor Doom is preparing this man a gift basket.

  6. He's right. It isn't great... It's FANTASTIC!

  7. Mathematicians get no love... unless they can "stretch".

  8. As someone who can stretch and who is at least better-than-average at math, I have to say that it is a pretty wonderful life.

  9. Is it me, or does this guy look like a younger version of MRTIM?
And the math sections of the Fantastic Four were always my favorite.

  10. I always figured that he was called "Mr. Fantastic" due to ability to stretch a certain, uh, part. and that he had the name before becoming a superhero, akin to Spiderman, but not pro-wrestling though, gay porn.

  11. I always thought Mr. F got screwed on powers - everyone else grew to enormous power levels but he stayed the same rubber band as always.

  12. Reed Richards is a brilliant scientific mind and a lot of the stuff he invents/develops could have been used as technological innovations that could change the world... except he never uses them like that. It's always for some plot-relevant thing and then they never mention the other possible implications. Hell, he could probably use those inventions to solve over half the Marvel Universe's problems, and could probably solve the other half with new inventions/developments. But nope, instead he just uses them to defeat Dr. Doom, which ends up being a waste of time anyways because half the time the Fantastic Four end up capturing a DoomBot instead of the real thing.

    Reed Richards is Useless.

  13. Look at the flipside in terms of useless powers in the Venture Bros. homage to them, "The Impossibles". The "Reed" character is the only one who has a useful power, the other 3 are all horrid and debilitating.

  14. RICHAAAAAARDS!!!

  15. Reed Richards is useless because he doesn't think about how to apply his discoveries on a broad basis (except the unstable molecule thing)

he does think about production just creation

Tony Stark, on the other hand, creates an infrastructure to handle the production of his inventions so that he can actually impact the world instead of making some impressive technical oddities.

    Think Tesla vs Edison

  16. Oh man, not again, I get this sh!t all the time. Goddammit - just 'cause I'm not "cool" or scary looking doesn't mean I'm freaking useless. Can you imagine what the FF would be without me? Oh, Johnny Storm how are you going to stop Dr.Doom whose all the way in latveria? Oh, you're gonna fly, huh? Which flight, you know you have to be at the airport 2 hours before the flight, right? Oh, you're gonna just fly, cos of your flames... right... for a good 4500 miles, huh? You don't get tired travelling for a few days... dumbass! and "Good at maths"? I should slap you where you stand... (and I could. Why? 'Cos I'm fucking stretchy.) I've been to space, discovered alternate dimensions, travelled through time, defied the laws of physics, and created sh!t you can't even dream about, b!tch - what's so great about that? Hell, I've got the power orb. I OWN my own building and have enough money to never be poor again. I take care of me and mine. Sure, Starky makes more destructive weapons year upon year - so what, have I got time to solve every problem, sorry - too busy saving the world from itself daily. Fuck it - I don't care if you don't think I'm cool. You know who DOES think I'm cool? That hot p.o.a that I married - come back when you've batted a 10 (out of your league) because you can work her 'zones with skill of a maestro, punk!

  17. SHUT YOUR HOLE, RICHARDS! You surround yourself with people you yourself admit are cretins, and yet pass this off as something that makes you...pfft..."fantastic?" Don't make me laugh. You yourself have never been able to stop me, even with your little team with your ludicrous matching bathing suits. The only reason I haven't destroyed you is because you offer amusement when I'm bored. As for your science skills, they are nothing compared to my mastery of both the sciences and the dark arts. I have created an entire new whole out of those parts, while your ignorant dismissal of magic has crippled you. And as for your wife, I haven't seen her lately. Perhaps Namor has been courting her under your nose again?

  20. Mr. Fantastic is still better than you.
