To his friend while they discussed X-MEN...

  1. Got to say: it's refreshing to see such a POSITIVE, wholesome outlook related to comics!
This kid just needs to get involved in scouting or something.

  2. You know, after all the creepy douchebags, that's actually kinda sweet.

  3. I'd read a Troop Leader Logan comic where he takes inner city kids camping

  4. He couldn't be worse than captain Tootsie ...

  5. I bet, Logan would have the BEST campside ghost stories too.

  6. I agree with Alex M, it is actually quite sweet in comparison. XD

  7. D'aaaw, that's actually kind of adorable.

  8. Don't do it kid! You'll end up either dead or a vampire. He's the worst friend to have.

  9. Love the comic, but not in love with the new larger size. Now I have to read the bubble, look at the character, and back and forth. I liked the old size better when I could kinda take it all in at once.

  10. I think everyone goes through a time where they wish a fictional character were their friend.

  11. @Aaron: Yeah, Wolverine has the worst indirect luck with friends. How many of his closest friends/girlfriends have died, again?

Still, though, I'm sure that if Wolverine pal'd around with this kid, the kid would turn into a real badass if he doesn't end up dead.

  12. ^__^ He's so happy and cheerful

  13. Awww! That's absolutely adorable.

I'm not going to lie. At age 24 I still occasionally think, "Dude, I wish Pokemon were real. We'd travel the countryside and sleep by campfires at night."

...So, yeah. Don't ever lose that, kid.

  14. So what's the catch? Is this guy like 40?

I mean I'd hang out with Logan but probably at a strip club.

  15. I find this guy really endearing...

  16. Ditto with 12:20-Anon. I want a Pikachu and Ninetails and it would be the bestest times ever.

I think it's really cute that this guy has drummed up this fantastic version of Wolverine that'd take him places and basically be a bad-ass big brother or father figure.

  17. Hells yeah! But me, I'd rather go exploring with Goku cuz I'm a manga person EEEK!

  18. Awww, you just want to give him a hug.
This is nice, it is good to have a not horrible person for once.

  19. "Outdoorsy" is code for gay...for reals.

    ReplyDelete
  20. And some say 'anonymous' is a code for coward.

  21. Glad I'm not the only one whose gaydar went off. xD

  22. brokeback logan.

  23. Are we talking eighties samurai Logan, or nineties stupid crazy Logan. I'd hang with the eighties Logan any day.
    What's he like these days?

  24. Faith in humanity... returning...

  25. @ Masamundane: Dead, and in hell. No, really. The first arc of the newest Wolerine series is "Wolverine in Hell." But I'm sure he'll get better.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'd much rather hang out with Spider-Man and crack jokes all day, but Wolverine would also be cool.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ditto @Jeff.
Also, the soundtrack to this panel is "Wouldn't it be Nice." Imagine the montage of fun times!

  28. wait..."outdoorsy" = gay? LOL! what a crazy thought. says more about the commenter's anxieties. As for hanging out with Wolverine, pass. But it's a cool idea for a comedy sketch. Anyway. Hey MR TIM: Are you on Facebook?

  29. Shocking!

    Absolute Human Filth!

  30. Jumping on the bandwagon here, but he really does seem like a sweet kid. It's a nice change of pace.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Also jumping in to say that this kid just seems like a normal, sweet kid. I frequently hear my 6 year old say this sort of thing in total innocence. I'm hoping the website owner posted it as a positive stereotype rather than a judgemental one.

  32. I think the catch is the whole "person thinks fictional character is real" theme present in many of the other cartoons.

Granted, sometimes it's creepy, sometimes it's hilarious - at times both - but this one's actually OK. Except if the person saying it is like 30, in which case it falls straight on the first category.

  33. Gay. Totally gay.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Awww.

Could not possibly imagine him saying the same thing about Rorschach or Batman. :)

  35. Brokeback Mountain, X-Men Edition.

But in all seriousness, after reading all the crazy/stupid stuff people do, it's a nice change of pace to see someone make an innocent remark.

Though frankly, the "outdoorsy" bit has me wondering...

  36. Wolverine is the best at what he does, and what he does is play catch and go hiking with this guy

    ReplyDelete
  37. This one is the best one in a long time... and I actually look forward to the insane ones.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Cuuuute. (: He seems adorable compared to all the freaks.

I HOPE YOUR DREAM COMES TRUE.

    ReplyDelete
  39. @Alex Greene- I would take Rorscach to the ASPCA to help pick out a puppy for him.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm also gonna vote for "potentially gay camping fantasy". But that's okay. Shine on, you crazy gay comic book fan (who's into short hairy guys).
