  6. My favourite part is the "back to using" bit, like at some point it actually happened.

  7. I suppose this means that punk-rock was a retro-movement, trying to recreate the spirit of the original steam-punks but using uhm, rocks and maybe some electricity?

  9. Ya'll don't remember steam-powered robots? And jet packs? And the sky being filled with balloon airships?!

  10. Everyone knows that jet-packs are powered by diesel, not a coal-burning steam-engine.

    Seriously, jet-packs are so 1970s!

  12. Oh my, I remember the 60's:

Flower Power, tie-dye, bellbottoms, free love, Sir Jimmy Hendrix bringing down the opera house and steam powered clanks roaming the countryside fighting our wars for us. This was all in Europe of coarse, as America hadn't been discovered yet.

My, my how time flies when you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

  15. Don't know how it would effect the energy crisis, but switching to steampunk technology would definitely make things much more awesome.

  16. It would also make things a lot more sooty. Those steam engines were fueled with coal and wood, remember.

  17. Now I really want to read a Steampunk comic set in the 1960s...

  22. I have to believe this is a true statement and not her being silly or flippant, because it's the winner of the dumbest thing said this year (so far). It's...beautiful.
