To his friend regarding the Clone Wars episode that was playing...

For anyone unfamiliar with the Star Wars Clone Wars show, this particular scene
depicted a man with a laser sword fighting a robot on a spaceship.

  1. Haha. I love when people watch fantasy and complain about lack of realism. Makes me make this face O.o

  3. IDK, It's arguable that robots, spaceships, and laser swords (to a lesser degree) could be real if we had the technology. Surviving after apparently being seriously/fatally wounded without some sort of believable explanation for why is generally harder to swallow.

Then again, I suppose it's possible that they have some invisible healing nanobots and they decided to not explain it as so. But that seems a bit lazy writing wise... I understand occasional 'narrative convenience' is necessary, but I find it to be used way to often in some shows. And just because it is a cartoon, doesn't exclude it from such criticism.

In any case, I see no fault in his logic (that is if he could later elaborate on his statement effectively), but I do think he's over reacting a tad. Though that is probably because I'm not a giant Star Wars fan.

  4. I haven't seen deductive powers like that since Sherlock Holmes and Dick Tracey teamed up with John Walsh.
