  1. Nobody would really say that, would they?

  2. I was born in 1986 and I don't say shit about the 80s. Because I don't remember them.

    1. I was born in 1981 and I don't say shit about the 80s because I was too young to remember them. I don't say shit about the 00s because I was too drunk to remember them. I'm hoping for a coma in the 20s and senility in the 40s.

  3. I was born in 1956. I was there for the 80's and the 90's. They didn't suck as much as people say they did - no more so than the 60's, the 70's, or the Twenty-first Century.

    1. I was born in 1949, and I totally agree with you.
Also, he was all of two years old by the end of the 90s. Although I do remember a few specific traumatic incidents from when I was that age (I remember the chickenpox and falling down and breaking out my two front teeth), I certainly did not have any concept of the greater world, and I am pretty confident that this guy did NOT have the awareness necessary to determine that that time period sucked!

    2. Yeah...I was born in 74, so I actaully DO remember the 80s and 90s...and lately, I've been somewhat nostalgic for the 90s. It was actually a pretty good time to be alive for me.

  5. I'd say this ignorant deserves a honorary "shut up you idiot" tag.

He's maybe not saying anything controversial or harming, but such degree of stupidity calls for big a Smosh-style "SHUT UP!". And he's definitely an idiot.

  6. I hope someday, not soon, the authorities find a room in the basement of your shop filled with the dried bones of these fools. We can start a collection to send you to Belize in case of arrest.

  7. Why all the hate? We all wanted to feel like we knew something when we were 15.

He isn't *that* wrong either. Decades (in the cultural sense) aren't so clearly delineated. As a very young child in the 00's, he would still have been surrounded by the TV, movies, and music of what had immediately preceded his birth. Not to mention folks who hadn't gotten around to updating their closet. His dad probably had some Hootie t-shirts...

  8. Is there a slight chance that the conversation was about a specific 1998 event, that is linked to a supposed general suckage of the 90s, and that he meant that he was "already" born in 1998 (like, born in 1985), so he witnessed the event and the period first hand ?

Is there a chance for that ?

    Please ?

    1. No. There is no defending this.

  9. Hey, hey, HEY I was born in 1988 and the 1990s were AMAZING. I had Addidas poppers, my friends had ponytails on the sides of their heads AND pop music was pretty decent back then.

The only thing that depresses me about the 1990s is that there's a new(ish) 90s club in my city called Retro. The 90s are Retro now? :(

    1. But he didn't say 1988. He said 1998. The 90's were over before he learned to last overnight without shitting his pants.

  11. I assume when he says he was there for that shit, he's talking about what was in his diaper.
