  4. Some people should use this magical device called the internet to
check information before they say something like this and come
    across as a total anusbrain.

  7. Yeah, and that J.K. Rowling woman did the same thing with Harry Potter! What a bitch! And that Tolkein fellow did it with Lord of the Rings! Someone should stop these maniacs!

    1. On the other hand that guy Heinlein saw what a godawful movie Starship Troopers was and wrote a whole book just to fix it.

    2. Haha, right. "Fix" it by effectively writing an ode to fascism with one hand down his pants.

    3. Oh look. Someone on the internet is unwittingly being an example of Godwin's Law using words he clearly doesn't understand about a book he obviously hasn't read.

      Again.

    4. Well, i'm pretty sure Anon 7:52 meant the godwaful sequels, since the first film is a quite good satire and probably the only good movie Verhoeven made.

    5. "probably the only good movie Verhoeven made." -- Have you ever seen a Verhoeven movie? Soldier of Orange? Turkish Delight? Black Book? Flesh + Blood?

    6. Satire? Seriously? You're really falling for that lame excuse? Really?

    7. Wow. That's just sad.

    8. Yes, it is satire. Do you also think Robocop was serious?

    9. Robocop wasn't a bad maladaptation (or misappropriation) of an existing work the director and screenplay writer never actually bothered to read.

  9. Reminds me of the time my brother told me how he didn't like the Beatles because they ripped off "Come Together" from Aerosmith.

  10. Wow, Martin must have been really ticked off after he got the script for the 'Red Wedding' episode. He put all that effort into those characters and pfft! they're dead. Seriously if the damn TV people would have given him more of a heads up-he could have relegated them to bits of exposition.

  11. I refuse to believe this is real.

  12. I want to believe this person was just making a misfired joke, and gave such a deadpan delivery that Mr. Tim believed it to be sincere.

  13. If she isn't joking, then I suspect that she huffs paint during the intro sequence, where it quite clearly states "Based on A Song of Ice and Fire By George R. R. Martin."

  14. Can we get a "shut up you idiot" tag on this please? XD

  15. I hope that dude put a big ole' "Spoiler" banner over the front of those books.

  16. Aww, as if GRRM will finish the next book before the show catches up.

    ReplyDelete
  17. c'mon! now you're just making shit up!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Well at least her cluelessness spares GRRM *one* rabid man/womanchild screaming for his murder after the red wedding...

  19. How did he know what would happen in the show?

The guy who wrote those books must be a wizard.

  20. "Poop is what we do as humans. It's not anything alien, it's just real. Especially at the time when the show is set - you would have had lots of pooping, it was kind of the done thing. The poop scenes make it realistic and authentic, it's something the show does really well."
