  2. Word. I yearn for the days when superheroes battles criminals and other villains, rather than each other.

  3. Glad I'm not the only one thinking this.

  4. I am SO TIRED of the GRIM/DARK/HEAVY METAL IN THE RAIN/ NO HAPPINESS aesthetic around superheroes.

I would seriously watch a 2 hour movie where, for example, the Avengers just hung out and were pals. No villain, just a chill day off. Maybe Hawkeye makes smoothies for everyone.

    2. Yeah, like that scene... but for like 2 hours, and full of them talking about stuff.

They work some stuff out about themselves, there are some chummy laughs to be had, and by the end they're all better people.

If this were the 80s, John Hughes would direct.

    3. Have you caught the Marvel One-Shots? Definitely worth tracking down.

  6. You know what else would be cool, would be if people realized there were other Batman comics besides Dark Knight Returns.

  7. You know, there was a time when I would have been panting to see this movie. Now, I just can't even be bothered. DC is way to depressing lately.

    1. I'm with you. I forget who originally said it, but DC learned the wrong lesson from the success of Christopher Nolan's Batman movies. Now they assume every superhero needs to be "dark" and "gritty", That works for Batman - well, mostly - but not at all for Superman. It worries me that DC doesn't seem to understand their own characters.

    2. Christopher Nolan's movies weren't even that dark. They only seemed that way in comparison to Schumacher. Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and even TDKR were sanely lit and shot with a very naturally saturated color palette and were dotted throughout with humor and warmhearted moments.

This whole grim/dark turn DC movies have taken is all on Snyder.

  8. This is one of my favorite comics in a long time. I'm still smiling.

  11. Yes Batman and Superman dont get along some of the times but they would never really fight each other unless you count red kryptonite. This batman is based more on the All-Stars Batman who people like to call Crazy Steve cause that Batman calls a poor traumatized Dick Grayson age 12(yes they say age 12 every time) retarded
