While discussing BATMAN's dubious value to the JUSTICE LEAGUE...

  1. Batman technically owns the entire watch tower. Knowing him he probably has kryptonite lenses hidden in all the ceiling lights that can be deployed in the event of rogue kryptonians.

    1. He does? Does that mean he has his title on file at the county recording office? Because that seems like it would give his identity away pretty quickly. Also, Superman has X-ray vision. Wouldn't he know pretty quickly about kryptonite concealed anywhere in the watchtower?

    2. Bruce Wayne having his name on file as funding the watch tower's construction does not give away his identity.

    3. Maybe, but it sure would lead people to wonder why this rich playboy himbo was funding the Justice League. That's the kind of thing that would make people ask questions.

    4. Sort of like the way people wondered about RJ Brande funding the Legion? Or people wondered why Superman wears glasses and pretends to be a reporter? Never underestimate the ability of DC characters (and Marvel, to be honest) to miss the obvious.

    5. I think the difference with the Legion was that most Legionnaires didn't have secret identities, and Brande's financial support for the team was completely public. As such, there's really nothing to wonder about. With Superman, look, I once had a waiter who looked and sounded just like John Cusack, but wasn't. Superman doesn't wear a mask, so there's no particular reason to think he has a secret identity in the first place. Batman does wear a mask, so obviously there must be someone under that mask who is hiding his identity.

  4. This one is great. The I like to think about it, though, is that Batman is a regular guy who is pretending to be a scary monster to intimidate and deter criminals, to cast a giant shadow, so to speak. Superman is a terrifying alien monster pretending to be a regular guy so as not make everyone soil themselves all the time. Keeping Batman around in the Justice League serves that end pretty well.

  5. Why don't you just put the whole world in a bottle, random guy?
