  1. Sadly, I know too many people that think this way. Almost all of them barely finished High School.

    1. The fact that they finished high school indicates a problem.

    1. I dunno, after the pilot, there just wasn't enough sex or violence for me.

  4. Funny, that's how I know a show is trying too hard. An immature sense of 'maturity' skinned over the show, instead of (or spoiling) actual mature and clever writing.

It's why, after four seasons, I don't feel so bad about giving up Sky TV and the exclusive Sky Atlantic channel that shows Game of Thrones here in the UK. I know by the books that it's already turning into a lot of wandering about and going nowhere, and by this time I know that any changes the TV writers will make will probably boil down to achingly awkward sex scenes shoehorned into the actual plot, Such as it is.

  7. So, basically he described 95% of the Grindhouse - Exploitation - B-movies that were released in the 70's. Wow, this guy could be the next Quentin Tarantino. Who knows?

  8. i never really understood the whole mindset of "this show is great because the characters use lots of drugs, that's my biggest criteria for judging entertainment, i don't care about any other stuff like good aesthetics or skillful storytelling/performance." but it seems to be a widespread thing that just won't quit.

see: the enduring popularity of stoner comedies.
