To his friend...

  1. Before you start making fun of this young man, realize his birth father is Kryptonian, and only spoke to him through holograms. But one fateful day at a convention, he met Patrick Stewart in real life. To him, Captain Picard is more real than his own father.

Consider the fate of Krypton, my friends, and how lonely its few survivors must feel.

  2. Considering how much Picard hated kids, I have to wonder how cool this guy's dad really is. Maybe he just wanted a distant father who had a really cool ride?

    1. He didn't hate kids. He hated Wesley. He simply didn't like other kids.

    2. Insert Obligatory "SHUT UP, WESLEY" Here.

  3. Captain Kirk would make a way better father than Picard. Especially in the later years when he is less likely to be absentee. And you would always know that no matter how bad you mess up, David Marcus is still a worse son than you.

    1. "Especially in the later years when he is less likely to be absentee" -- You should definitely go with Captain Pike if you want a father who can't leave. Or even scoot away swiftly.

  4. Both characters were lousy fathers and their real world kids weren't super pleased with them while they were on the air.

    1. But then again, their kids were not lame guys who complained about their lives in a comic book store, so maybe they did something right.

  5. Nah, I don't buy it. I would be like, "Dad! I got an A in math!" and Picard would be all, "Yes yes quite right very good best not to get too excited you haven't hit calculus yet." Then he'd go back to his model ship in a bottle.

I'm not sure why Father Picard is English in my head, but there you go.
