  1. Alas they don't just complain on the Internet.

  2. yes, passive entertainment should be strictly passive. how dare people react to stuff.

also, OVC's labeling formula seems to be: if customer complains about prices, denounces critical thought, or bluntly states that wolverine sucks, then "it's true" or "jus folks." if customer makes a genuinely interesting & provocative comment about a superhero character, genre trope, or story logic, then "crazies" or "jerks."

    1. He's not complaining about people being actively engaged in some branch of entertainment. He's complaining about people who do nothing but find fault with it. If you're really engaged, you will sometimes find negatives and sometimes find positives. If all you ever do is complain, one begins to suspect that you are not actively engaged except in complaining.

  3. Is it true ? Is it not true ? I can't decide. Does it mean that it is not true, when there is no "it's true" tag ? Or is there a "it's not true" tag when it's not true ?

    1. Also if it's true, what is true ? That "it seems" so ? Oh dear. Does it seem like I read OVC just so I can comment on it ?

    1. If a complaining person says, yes, that's true, he's got you. If a complaining person disagrees with this — saying you don't actually buy or read the comics you complain about — he gets you for being ignorant. It's a trap.

  5. I may be wrong, but I'm reasonably certain they complained about comics long before Al Gore invented the internet.

  6. In the case of Steven Wacker, some people MAKE comics so they can complain about them on the Internet. Weird.
