Ad execs see how much we shell out to get all the issues in any given crossover "event," and they say, "These guys have money to burn!" They don't realize that our power just got shut off to finance those extra books.
How else are they going to know what model of car to go into life-ruining debt for if the manufacturers don't advertize conspicuous consumption to them?
