Unfortunately, this cartoon reminds me of how I acted in the early 60s when my parents tried to tell me about the comics of the Golden Age - I didn't want to hear that the Flash, Green Lantern, Captain America, the Human Torch, etc, existed before I discovered them in their then current incarnations.

  5. What a jackass. I remember raiding my mom & dad's records & 8-tracks when I was a kid. They listened to a lot of good stuff. I still have my dad's original GI Joe as well. Neither one read comics though.

  9. This is why I'm so thankful my dad introduced me to comics through his silver age collections. I spent many a weekend reading (under careful supervision) his original runs of x-men, fantastic 4, the avengers and many more. He also had the great foresight to keep his really beat up old DC annuals that I was able to do whatever the hell I wanted with.
