    2. Yup. It's true tag is needed.

  2. Yep, definitely needs an it's true label.

    1. You can tell by the fur and the quadrupedal posture.

    2. Maybe you're a sexist scumfuck. Lots of maybes in this mixed up world of ours.

    3. It's certainly possible. Bitches are a real thing and they're super annoying.

But I assume he actually wants to have her around so he probably doesn't think she's a bitch.

    4. Maybe I AM a sexist scumfuck. I'm comfortable with that. But in my decades of experience, I've found that most strangers won't call a woman on the bus a bitch unless she's really done something to warrant it.

Funny, my experience (anecdotal and actual) tends to be the opposite. Most people who are comfortable enough calling a stranger a bitch in public, regardless of what the stranger did, tend to be less than upstanding examples of humanity themselves. And "something to warrant it" is often something as simple as accidentally bumping into them, too, so I would really have to question what you mean by that.

Ahahahaha. I take it you're not a woman? Women get called bitches in public places all the time, usually for things like failing to be quite as perky and pliable as random strangers want them to be. A particularly egregious example is the story told at http://unwinona.tumblr.com/post/30861660109/i-debated-whether-or-not-to-share-this-story but note that the first half of the story is common enough to be unremarkable.

    7. Anonymous, 1:01, you NEVER were on a bus, train or on the street and some crazy homeless person called a woman a bitch for no reason? It happens.

Doesn't have to be a crazy person, though. Could just be some angry asshole.

    8. Only a complete bitch would belittle Spiderman like this.

    9. Maybe I AM an ableist scumfuck. I'm comfortable with that. But in my decades of experience, I've found that most strangers won't say something profoundly sexist unless they were really dropped on their heads.

  5. He does suck- but they shouldn't have changed that artist, that's bullshit!

  6. Nothing about you has been changed. Assuming for a moment that he loves you in exactly the same way and to the same degree that he loves Spider-Man the fact remains that the guy on the bus calling you a bitch didn't alter you in any way. The events aren't comparable.

Does he get similarly upset every time some passing stranger abuses Spider-Man? Because at that point that sounds like some kind of stress-related disorder to be looked into. That's a lot of time spent upset.

  7. man, what is it with women who don't want to be called bitches by total strangers? the absolute fucking nerve of them. obviously they 100% deserve it.

    ReplyDelete
  8. The explanation for this is rather simple: the artist on Spider-man is much less likely than the guy on the bus to pound him into the dust. Where's the fun in complaining to somebody who might fight back?

    1. You said it, Anon. Just like all the Internet Tough Guys in this thread who aren't afraid to call women "bitches".

  9. Yeah, buddy. Next time kick some ignorant stranger's face down his throat because otherwise your girlfriend secretly thinks you're a pussy. This is why Louie S1E9 Bully is such a telling episode. P.S. Did she say anything in response to the guy on the bus?

    1. If you're too scared of your own shadow to speak up when someone insults your significant other, just use a not-at-all-funny "comedy" on basic cable to justify your paralyzing fear to the world. That'll be clever!

    2. Louie's one of the fucking funniest shows to ever come out, and "basic cable" as you use it pejoratively, is putting out some great TV! What the hell are you talking about? Did you see that episode he's talking about? It was great!

      Delete
    3. Yeah, honey, it's not a matter of being "too scared of your own shadow", it's a matter of sticks and stones may break your bones, but words from a jerk-off on the bus are only offensive if you allow them to be. Don't women always say that if they ran the world there would be no war? P.P.S. Louie rules, you are dumb!

    1. Women have no honor. It's a masculine concept.

    4. Beards? Yes. You? Not in the least.

    5. You have no idea how she responded to being called a bitch. For all we know, she might've defended herself. But obviously it's much better for your misogynist ego to assume she took on the role of helpless damsel in distress, expecting a big strong man to come save her.

  12. I find it hard to believe that this is the first time he's shown similar behavior. She needs to accept him as he is or leave him, because she's not going to change him.

  13. What artist changed anyway? The same artists are still on Spider-Man, plus a new guy

  14. lol so much sexism in these comments

yeah you could probably put the its true tag

  15. Because they people who call women on public transportation 'bitches' also have a tendency to stab people?
