To her friend...

  1. So long as I get that sweet crown, I'm fine with that. Pass the burgers, please!

  4. I have a similar theory with Sheldon from Big Bang Theory. Every nerd/geek group has one. If you don't know who it is, it's you.

  5. And if your group of friends has a Penguin and a Joker and a Double Face and neither is YOU then you are probably the BATMAN.

And if your group of friends has a Rusty and a Rip Masters and a O'Hara and neither one of them is YOU then you probably are the RIN TIN TIN.

    And if, er... hmm...

    1. I suppose you meant Two Face. Please don't repeat that mistake, or we'll have to take your nerd's club card away.

    2. That was the joke.

    3. Actually not really, no. I wish it was, and I liked the ambiguity. But I've been actually mislead by the fact that they call him "double face" in french, I forgot the original name was different. So, yeah, I'm quite the sub-par nerd (not to mention not an immense batman fan to start with)...

I won't repeat the mistake. I'll make new ones. There's plenty to choose from, with these translations (Dark Vador anyone ?)...

    4. I'm not sure whether this thread is the apex or the nadir of nerd-dom, but what the hell.

  6. Archie Comics are relevant (to one person).

  7. It's better than being Mr. Weatherbee or Miss Grundy, I guess.

  8. Alternatively, if your group of friends has an Archie and a Jughead and neither one is you, it means you're the Reggie

  9. People still read Archie comics?

    1. We like to just dismiss stuff that's sold on the racks on our way out of the supermarket, but Archie comics made massive money off of that placement.

Plus they got some kind of bump with the recent social issues they tackled. I didn't buy a copy, but some people were actually interested.

    2. But I think that's the point: you may have been interested BUT YOU DIDN'T BUY A COPY. Does anyone?

I also have never bought an Archie comic. Nor have I ever seen anyone else buy an Archie comic. Or reading one. Or seen one left somewhere accidentally. Or in the trash anywhere. Even chick tracts seem to have a wider readership.

In fact the only place I have ever seen any Archie comic is still in the rack at the supermarket. Never in anyone's hand.

I assume Archie Comics Inc. has long since transitioned their business model from selling comics to suing people for violating their intellectual property, and the comics they still produce are made only for the sake of keeping their trademarks current.

    3. It doesn't matter what you anecdotally think is going on with Archie: it's managed to stay around at least as long as I have been alive: I am 30 years old.

Plus, they put out other stuff besides Archie and they are family friendly.

    4. Only when they promote Mormon propaganda.

  10. Mary Ann, Betty Rubble, and Veronica. And Daphne, of course.

  11. If your group of friends has an Honest Abe and a Daisey Mae, and neither one is you, it probably means you're the Lil' Abner.

  12. If your group of friends has a Betty and a Veronica it means you're the Mrs. Grundy because only weird old ladies give a rats ass about Archie comics any more.

You're probably also a lesbian pedophile because why else is a dried up archie comic reading old coot like you hanging around with Betties and Veronicas?

  13. And if your group doesn't have a Chuck, that makes you all racist.

  14. ... Or you might be Dilton Doily, who in the Archieverse is poised to be the next Steve Jobs.
