To his friend regarding a guy in a RIDDLER costume at the BOSTON COMIC CON...

  1. "Jim, we have to let this man go, he can't possibly be the real Riddler; he's wearing glasses over his mask."

  2. Well, Frank Gorshin didn't use mask or glasses in some photos...

  3. How exactly do the visually impaired handle that anyway? Do they just include prescription lenses in the mask? Seems like it would be hard to get an optician to make lenses fitted to your mask. There'd have to be some kind of underground black market optician who specializes in making lenses no questions asked. Kind of guy who makes a living off of his ability to keep a secret but then Batman comes and beats him shitless until he squeals and runs off knowing full well that the guy's gonna get killed for telling him that and now what is the cape community gonna do for seeing lenses?

    1. Contact lenses for when you're out villaining of course.
      Works for superheroes too.
"That can't possibly be ____, he wears glasses! ____ doesn't wear glasses!"
"That's why you make the big detective dollars sir, we'll strike him off the suspect list right away!"

  4. You mean all of those people running around in costumes aren't the REAL CHARACTERS? Oh God, I want my money back!

  5. *waits for the inevitable "Yeah, sorry but I'm pretty sure the real X doesn't wear Y over his/her mask. What an idiot" comments*

  6. @Thesandwich: I believe you've just reinvented... contact lenses.

  7. The... REAL Riddler.

    Whatever you say, buddy.

  8. I just want to point out that the REAL Riddler is a greater criminal mastermind than the one in the comics. When was the last time the REAL Riddler was caught? I bet he pulled the trick with the glasses during a tight squeeze, too.

  9. Didn't the version of the Riddler in Arkham City wear purple glasses instead of a domino mask?

  10. I dressed as the Riddler for Halloween and wore green glasses.I mean, why would the Riddler wear a mask? To hide his identity? Everyone knows who he is!

That's exactly what the real Riddler would say.

  11. If the Riddler doesn't wear glasses, he should. Do you honestly think that someone like Batman would punch a man with glasses? No. Not in the face, anyway.

  12. I'm the real Riddler and I'm a fat housewife from Hoboken. I also wear glasses.

    Surprised? Don't believe me?

GOOD. That's why the real Batman never can catch me. I'm a friggin' criminal mastermind.

  13. Riddle me this, Boy Blunder! What's the difference between a fanboy and a cow pie? Answer! The cow pie has more brain cells! Hoo-hoo-hee-hee-hoo-haaaaaah!

    1. They both stink, but one won't get you sent to Arkham for spreading bits of it across your garden as fertilizer!

  14. I liked the catwoman comic better.

  15. "Clark Kent can't be superman! He wears glasses! The REAL superman doesn't wear glasses!"

  16. Real Riddler! Bahahahaha!

  17. Well, if your name is E. Nigma it's not as if you're really going to fool anyone, wearing a mask or not. Seriously, you don't have to be a master detective to figure that one out.

  18. Pretty sure the REAL Riddler frequently wears purple-tinted glasses AS his mask.

  19. Yeah, sorry but I'm pretty sure that was MATTHEW LESSCO and "NOT" the real Riddler. What an idiot!

  20. I do admit it is annoying when cosplayers keep their glasses on instead of taking them off or hiding them, even at least for photos. I have made this mistake myself.

And I was complaining in line when I saw a Arkham City Riddler that I didn't care for the messy design of the game.

But this guy does sound like a tool with that comment.
