  2. X-Files has not aged well. I loved it at the time, but it falls well short of Fringe.

Also as I recall, Mulder consistently got his ass handed to him. That was part of his underdog charm.

  3. My wife and I are rewatching the x-flies series now. It's been a long time since either of us has seen it. It's kind of nice to see a show where the main characters don't rely on muscle and fighting skills to get things done.

  4. I love how it's listed under the "it's true" category.

  5. I've seen some episodes of the X-Files recently, and it's still fine, as long as they stick to the monster-of-the-week and don't get into the conspiracy crap. It's interesting to see (as it is with most shows) how flat the characters start and how well they develop.

I watch Fringe, but I don't think there's much character development. It's all about the twists and turns, not the people.

  6. Peter (or Pacey, I guess he means, since I never saw D.C.) is not the reason to watch. Walter is the why people should watch. John Noble is a better actor than David Duchovney any god damn day of the week. Seasons 2 and 3 proved that.

  8. It's the battle of the two vastly overrated shows!

    Fringe is marginally better, though.

  9. I respectfully disagree.

  10. Yeah? Well, The X-Files will never have anything on Kolchak: The Night Stalker. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have NOTHING on Darren McGavin and Simon Oakland.

  11. I prefer the conspiracy episodes to the MOTW episodes.

  12. I find that whether or not people qualify as a jerk or just a folk largely depends on whether or not the artist agrees with them.

    1. It is his site. That's one of the perks. Are you upset? Well, don't be.

  13. The truth is out there trust no one, of course X-Files is 10,000 times better than Fringe.

  14. It's true. X files got too soap opera-y. Fringe IS too soap opera-y.

  15. I hate this notion that fans of similar shows have to be enemies. I got so much of this back when it was all "Star Trek" vs. "Babylon 5."
