While explaining to his friend why he didn't need to look for a job...

And he was VERY serious.

  1. I'd be very serious too, if I was delusional like that.

  2. Yeah, Mike Mignola was totally an unemployed slacker before he approached Dark Horse with the idea of Hellboy...

Yeah, but if he was REALLY serious then he would've said Watchmen.

  5. Can't wait to read it. I bet it's gonna make Hellboy look like crap. Oh, wait...it's the NEXT Hellboy. My bad...

  8. Considering his "enthusiasm" of creating the next Hellboy, 20 bucks say his artistic "skills" aren't remotely above macaroni art.

  9. You ever have customers who saw that you roasted them on here come back and say anything to you?

  10. When you're an aspiring artist, it's not hard to feel like you're gonna shit the next big thing before breakfast. Actually saying that out loud though...

  11. Dammit! THAT'S what I should've been doing all these years! Why didn't I think of it? Well, I guess it's too late. Since he already had the idea, I guess it belongs to him or whatever.

  13. @ZombieWorkshop:
Nah, who wants to be the next guy to write the best-selling story of all time and then turn around and hand over the full rights to everything to the nearest imprint with a snowball's chance in hell that you'll ever regain control of your work?

  15. It's cute when these kids thinks that they somehow have the ability to come up with a bestseller just like that, and then that the man will actually pay them just to share their IDEA and make it happen for them so they don't have to go to the trouble of like, learning the skills to write and/or draw well and even doing the drudging labor of using said skills to make their thing happen, unlike every other person in history who ever achieved anything artistic.

Yeah, the second part there annoys me, but I find it adorable when people go around "planning" to have a great idea to sell instead of actually getting an idea.
