While explaining to his female friend how the KICK-ASS movie had let him down...

This guy had to have been in his mid 20's and the Kick Ass comic came out in 2008.

  1. I'm sick of people saying things "ruined" their childhood. Dorks with Nostalgia-goggles are the worst.

  2. he's not a Dork with "Nostalgia-goggles". he's trying to impress his lady friend with lies. so he's at best a moron. and i'm a moron for not having some self control and letting this kind of thing slide if i see it in front of me.

  3. The ladies really go for a dude who talks openly about how deeply his soul has been scarred by a comic book movie.

Wow! The lesser spotted Triple-douche. Notice how A) He's kinda stupid and bullshits about KICKASS actually being around for his "childhood", B) How he hates the movie, where - despite it not being EXACTLY like the comics, it's not THAT bad. and finally C) Then complaining that anything new shits over anything old. (Not including some german porn.) - Heh! "grew up on those comics" All 8 issues. Wonder if he bitches about the other superhero flicks or just the latest ones. :P Wait. Did the chick fall for it, or just call him a dumbass and walk off? Seriously, If I worked in that store, I would so confront him about this.

  5. Honestly, if I worked at that store, I'd probably have some $3 surcharge on all debit and credit charges just to put up with the dumbassery

  6. Better question, who the fuck was he dressing up as when he was a kid? O_o

  7. Without the word 'those' he makes perfect sense. He's still mostly wrong but he's not full of shit.

Kickass sounds like the kind of character a kid would create, I'd like to think he just meant he used to wear boxers on his head and chase people around with a plastic excalibur replica.

  8. Seriously. I'd love to know exactly what he meant by that.

  9. Yeah- that does not make any kind of sense on about four or five different levels... It's kind of a paradox and it makes my head throb.

As far as Kick-Ass goes... The comic had great ideas in it, and the move had other great things about it- but they both had terrible faults that made it hard to completely enjoy either of them. If there existed a perfect marriage of the two- it would have been pretty unstoppable.
We'll have to wait about 15 years for the virtual-reality re-make that inevitably comes out...

  10. To the anon wondering who he dressed up fas for Halloween, I think he's lying rather than being confused. Or at least, he's confused about when "Kickass" comics started, but he doesn't actually think he followed those same comics as a kid.

  11. You're all forgetting the most important thing: he's STILL a kid. Mental age: 7.

  12. As for the people claiming that he's a liar about Kick-Ass being around when he was a kid, well...surely you've heard of the expression "man-child??" Realistically, this guy is probably only just about to enter puberty (psychologically speaking).

  13. Hey guys, did it ever occur to you that:
    a) female friend is a geek too
    b) this is a joke she TOTALLY gets
    still dumb, but...

  14. When people say "I grew up on _____" these days, they seem to mean "I read this 3 years ago"

  15. I grew up on this blog and posts like these ruin my childhood memories of the greatness this blog used to contain.

  16. I think rather what he really meant to say was "I was ass-kicked for like every Halloween when I was a kid."

  17. Man, d'you ever CALL any of these douches on the crap they spout? I work in a comic store myself and both feel your pain and am very familiar with the urge...

  18. Wait, I have an explanation! Man from the future. Loved Kick Ass as kid. Goes back in time to make Millar make a movie happen. Movie ruins his future childhood. Stays in the present. NOW IT MAKES SENSE!

  19. Just a question; since it's pretty much a blog about dumb people(and I do enjoy it), will all the comments be about hating the dumb people and being smarter / know more about pop culture than them ?

  20. @BanZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (I assume you're extreme, amirite?)

Do you go around this blog looking for stuff that you don't get, and posting about how much it offends you that the people who are MUCH LIKE YOU, are being made fun of?

If so, you're missing the point. Go back to being a giant douche, as your blogspot profile picture lets everyone and their mother know you are.

  21. I think you have an extremely straight forward view on me, sir Anonymous.

I am most definitely not extreme (well I guess I was at age 13 when I decided to stick to the nickname) but maybe rather self-righteous.

My question stays. I think there's much fun to have on this blog, and a few interesting points to make. But when it's only about commenting about how big r-tards they are... Well maybe you expert in douchery could tell us how douchy that is ?

    On another note, fuck you.

  22. I sometimes wonder how many of these people are making jokes. I joke like this to my friends all the time. That being said, it doesn't make it any less hilarious, and I'm sure if the person in question saw this, and they had been joking, they would find it hilarious, too.

    Stop fighting, guise.
