    Looking forward to more!

  2. How does the guy think they got out of the box and on the shelf in the first place? Telekinesis?

  3. Love your stuff. Consider comic press btw. Just read the whole thing.

Shames me that I was totally one of these kids when I was a kid.

  4. Yeah, I just finished reading all the posts too.
    Great stuff! :)

  5. I just finished reading them all too. Good stuff!

  6. Great site, read em all on first visit too.

    It'd make a great book!

I'm probably one of those snobby grown-up customers to my local as I only ever buy stuff for the kids (but secretly I'd like to buy it all for me too...)

  7. I am SO glad it's not just us who gets these kind of customers. >.<

(Love your blog - co-worker posted it on his facebook today, and I read all the entries in one sitting. Always wanted to do something like this with our crazy customers! ha!)

  8. Hey! Hologram-tinted sunglasses rock! I however concede that the person being lampooned is a fool, and I pity him.

  9. Same here. I've read them all in one sitting. This is great stuff. Keep them coming!

  10. I too just read your entire collection and felt compelled to tell you, since that's what everyone else is doing. Very funny!

  11. God, must be 10 years since I last regularly frequented comic book shops (and in another country too) but I recognize all these guys... Love it.

  12. This seems to be the 'thank you' post, so I'd like to add my mine to the pile. I'm sure my local shop owner will get a kick out of this too.

  13. I hope I'm not that kind of customers :|... you've got a lot of aggressive ones... that's scary :|

  14. I also just read through the whole blog. Great stuff, truly hilarious, and the art style really suits it too. I would say it confirms my prejudices about comic book fans, except that I know you get idiots in every walk of life, no matter what kind of shop you work in. Some of them will grow out of it; in the meantime, at least we can have fun laughing at them. :)

  15. Heck, everybody else is giving +1s here, I should as well.

    Good stuff!

  16. Likewise finished reading the whole site.

    Good work.

...Do see if you can do something about the comment section, though.

  17. Are these timestamps in the comments right? Are they all really fromthe last few days? :P

  18. Also just read through the entire blog. Great stuff. thanks!

  19. Nice work! I just read through all the entries and was highly amused. Thanks for sharing your skill and disdain!

  20. Excellent work. I can't see this last comic, though. "While I rang up his comics, he said....."
Anyway, this'll make me think twice about what I say around comic book store employees. Especially ones who are doodling...

  21. Just read'em all, great stuff!

  22. Thank you.
I've worked at a comic store for the past three years, and now instead of taking the time to explain the insane people I deal with I can just direct them here. Total time saver.

The comments from the creepers are something I'm particularly used to. The porn guys get even creepier when you're a girl. I had one guy once compare me loudly to a porn comic for the whole store to hear and then ask for my phone number. On days when like that when I hate my job, it's nice to be reminded by your site that everything is actually just hilarious.

  23. Just got through the archive. I'll definitely be back...

...by the way, is there supposed to be an image on this last post? It's not showing up for me.

  24. Hilarious. Even if accidental. ;-)

  25. Read through the entire archive.

Almost feel a slight affinity for those featured within. Who knows, I've probably said something incredibly daft in a comic book store...

  26. Where is this comic shop so I can end up in a panel railing about how DC is so unrealistic and Marvel is awesome? Hahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Read through them all. Love the site!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Stumbled onto your site and read all of them. 3 made me laugh out loud! Keep up the good work!

  29. Maybe if they made working with the public a prison sentence, less crimes would be committed...

    ReplyDelete
  30. love it all
ill be back for more for sure

  31. After reading them all, I find myself feeling more misanthropic that usual. Bye-bye compassion. These bastards have fucked my serene heart.

  32. You need to get this published or just get more press in general. This stuff is phenomenal.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Love the site. Keep up the great work.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Is it just me, or is this one's image not loading?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Funny how this is the wall we all hit and posted here. Loved every one, passed on to two friends who worked in shops in their youth, they loved every one.

  36. I've just finished reading the entire blog. This is hilarious. Thanks. I used to work in a used bookstore and while I never had anyone this blatantly bonkers, I had enough strange customers to recognize the ones here.

Though this last comic isn't showing for me either. Hope you'll put it up again.

  37. Almost 14 months later.... still no image here. :(

  38. @ Anon
That's because this post is the prelude to every other one.

I also read the whole thing in one go. I'm ashamed to admit I have met most of these people. Especially the crappy parents. As a demographic, they're woefully under-represented on this blog!

    Keep up the good work!

  39. Like everyone else, I read the whole thing. So great, even if there isn't a #1.

  40. I own a comic store. And I just binged through your archives. So, so, so much truth here. Preach.

  41. I laughed through all 5 years. Great webcomic!
