Actually.. I don't think he can either. These are remakes of 80s kids cartoons that were mostly too commercials. Yet those cheesy kids cartoons seemed to have more subtly and depth than these current multi-hundred-million dollar movies we are inflicting on kids today. There were many problems with the originals when I was a kid, but it seems we just made them worse or just put whole new stupidity into these modern reboots instead of fixing them.
But... Michael Bay isn't the Director.

ReplyDeleteThe Daredevil/X-men parody years? I think Bay (as a producer) could handle that as well; all his work feels like a parody of something.
