I would call that super nerdy. Yes X-files was very popular in its day, but anyone who stuck with it past season 7 to even know who agent Doggett is is most definitely a card carrying nerd.
Hey, I liked Agent Doggett! And let's face it, the Mulder/Scully relationship had grown so stale by that point in the series that anything would have been a breath of fresh air. So work that into your analogy, Mr. Comic Book Nerd!
Yes, it was refreshing to have a male lead who wasn't a total asshole and occasionally acted a little like a professional FBI agent instead of a whiny prat.
I don't think anyone has to worry about being accused of being a fake nerd when making an Agent Doggett reference.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't call that nerdy. The X-Files is about as famous and mainstream as sci-fi can get.

ReplyDeleteI love the "it's true" tag to this one. Do you know this girl?
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly...
DeleteI too liked Agent Doggett.

DeleteWasn't he the T-1,000 Guy?
ReplyDeleteHe was slightly less malleable in X-Files.
DeleteAnd even more scary... she even looks like Robert Patrick. yeesh..
