The trick would be to go out and spend a couple thousand dollars on comics at the end of December... that way it should be relatively easy to manage to "spend less" the next year (particularly if you are broke and heavily indebted in the new year).
I know it's easy to mock this man (and empathize with him), but you'd better be nice to him, MRTIM. Every time a new issue comes out, he sacrifices his own well-being to support your business. You owe him one, man.
That's my favorite broken resolution, every year.
