With respect to the spam comments: it's something of an article of faith with me that most people don't repeat behaviors that accomplish nothing. It must, therefore, be the case that someone is clicking on the links in those ads and actually buying something. Who does that?
To be FAIR, the trailer looks very little like the series' start, and seems to alter a few fundamental aspects of things like how Jesse was driven 'back to his roots'. Now considering the series' content I am NOT expecting anywhere near a 100 complete adaption, but still. It doesn't seem much like Preacher.
But then again, I wasn't impressed with the first Guardians of the Galaxy trailer either, and I was wrong there, so...let's hope I'm wrong.
Commenting here from the future, I can safely say that it did not suck. There were parts of it I didn’t like, but overall I found myself looking forward to every episode.
But it is going to suck.

ReplyDeleteI suspect the only ones clicking the spam links are web crawlers, and the links are only there to increase search engine rankings.
