They are rare but there's a couple of good ones. "The thing" (Carpenter's, I mean), "A fistful of dollars", "Night of the living dead" (colour), "Scarface", "The departed", "The fly", "The magnificent seven", "Nosferatu", various dracula, various body snatchers, "Never say never again", "Outland", and, uh, and...
Initially I was pleasantly surprised by what an open minded statement the guy was making. And then I saw the "Sarcasm" tag and I got depressed.
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't tell that by the very words he was using?

DeleteFright Night.
DeleteThe Maltese Falcon starring Humphrey Bogart?

ReplyDeleteWow! You've seen the movie already?!
DeleteDon't get me wrong, I'd don't exactly have high hopes, but you're making these claims based on a TRAILER.
Do you realize how much they give away with trailers these days?
DeleteNot much.
DeleteTurns out it wasn't very good.
DeleteDidn't we say everything we needed to say about a cyborg policeman in the original Robocop trilogy?
