    1. A lobster would be cool too. I mean, a super smart one.

    2. How about a pony?

    3. Should have been an owl.

      Doctor Hoo.

  3. Making the Doctor a hillbilly would be like making Godzilla French.

    1. French Godzilla VS Doctor Hillbilly. Sounds like you just sold a Syfy Movie.

    2. That sounds too good to be a Syfy Movie. Hillbilly Piranha Poodles Hailstorm would be a Syfy Movie.

    3. Film fact: Godzilla is French in the 1998 American film.

  4. The Doctor isn't British, he's an alien.

    1. then why is he being played by a white british guy for the 12th time?

it's really is very boring. I don't agree with the monkey or hillbilly, but white british guy is quite unimaginative for an alien.

    2. As boring as all the people with American accents in space/ Aliens with American accents?

    3. You mean a white Scottish guy for the second time.

    4. It might be because it's a British television series.

      Maybe.

    5. If you're going to ask 'why is he British?', the next question is 'why does he look human?', and then the whole premise of the show collapses in logical implausibility. Just accept it.

Alternatively: He's an alien who happens to be very fond of humans, and British ones in particular. Britain was where he first landed, and he liked it so much he's been trying to be British ever since. :)

    6. He doesn't look human. His race came first. We all look Time Lord.

    7. It's less of the "British" more of the "white" and "guy" that bothers me. No black or female British actors who could do a good Doctor? No? More white guys? OKey dokey then...

    8. Oh how sour those grapes are.... so sour....

    9. Does anybody else get the distinct impression that the guy above me would have loudly boycotted the show if the new Doctor WASN'T a white guy?

    10. Why do you assume I'm a guy?

  5. Maybe he's on to something...I'd take a monkey over Matt Smith.

    1. Oh, man, this idea suddenly overtook my desire to have Richard Ayoade be The Doctor. I am 100% behind you on this one.

  7. I think I might actually watch the show if the Doctor were portrayed as a hyper-intelligent monkey. My wife watches the show and it bores me to tears. Donna Noble with the scot was halfway tolerable but this new fellow is terrible. Worse yet is that young redhead.

  8. Or... GASP... a woman?

    1. Pfft, it's called DOCTOR Who, not Housewife Who

    2. Uh. There are women doctors, dude. If that was intended to be a joke, well.... FAIL.

    3. He didn't fail, I thought it was hilarious.

Besides, it was *clearly* a joke. Tell me, when someone tells you a joke about a talking dog do you immediately stop them and cry "Dog's can't talk!" The only thing that failed here is your ability to recognize intentional absurdity.

    4. Oh look, it's that MRA idiot again. Go away, please; every time you post, the rest of us lose a few IQ points via intellectual osmosis, and there have to be better forums for your woman-hating rants than a webcomic about comic books.

  9. I still want to hear the Doctor Who theme on banjo and jug.
