If we weren't meant to get a little horny, then maybe comic book artists should stop drawing superheroines in skin tight suits that could be sold in sex shops and huge knockers. Just a thought.
Anon 4:01, 8:13 and Littlequietguy have the right of it. Zombiworkshop: he's just mentioning the elephant in the room. If you didn't get the least bit titillated by something that's cynically designed, produced, and thrust in your face to turn you or your demographic on, I'd check your wrist for a pulse.
I accidentally clicked the picture when this came up in my feed reader. Out of all of the OVC comics I've wanted to see in high resolution, this wasn't one of them.
It's just worse to contemplate when his face is even bigger on my screen.
How old was he? Because between thirteen and eighteen you could show me an Archie comic and get me all hot and bothered. Never mind your bog standard superheroines.
I don't think he qualifies as a creep if he feels guilt about it.
ReplyDeleteHe gets horny just by looking at a Batgirl poster. Surely that's a little creepy?

DeleteThe fact that he felt the need to mention it makes it a creep.
DeleteI think he was acting the part of an open book, and I respect that.
Delete@zombieworkshop: that is exactly my feeling, as well!
Deleteeeeeww!
I think it was a legitimate complaint. Guy just wants his weekly dose of superheros but he's gotta dig through borderline pornography to get at it.
DeleteI've always thought it was silly when people expressed guilt over perversion. If they really didn't want to be horny they wouldn't be horny.

DeleteNot true at all. Your dick has completely different priorities than you do.

Scary.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should charge admission to get into the shop. Here is your new slogan: "Come to the Comic Book Store! It is cheaper than Viagra!"
ReplyDeleteWe hate it too, trust me.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha! So this doesn't get an "it's true" tag? I genuinely LOLed at this.
ReplyDeleteIf he's a kid/teen I don't think it's THAT creepy, just awkward. At that age there isn't much that doesn't make a boy horny.
ReplyDeleteWhat the fuck is up with his nose?
ReplyDeleteWhat does the poster look like?
ReplyDeleteSometimes I hate Cons for the same reason
ReplyDeleteBut then the real question is...Barbara Gordon or Stephanie Brown.
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, yuck.
I think this one deserves a new label. Posted under: EWWWWW!

ReplyDeleteI read the comic before I saw the Batgirl part and I thought "Mr. Tim must be simultaneously flattered and disturbed."
ReplyDeleteImagine what he'd do if he discovered a shop with an "adults only" room...
