Another guy who cannot wait to pull out that joke, and he's probably said it at least once a year since The Stand came out.

And I'm not sure he or she is old enough.All I remember about that miniseries is Matt Frewer standing in front of the mountains of Gary, Indiana.
I kinda liked it. The montage of dead super-flu victims over "Don't Fear the Reaper" still creeps me out.

I haven't read The Stand, nor have I seen the movie, but this is the fourth time I've heard this same joke about it.
Well, of course the mini-series is gonna be long, as the book it's based on ain't exactly a casual read. And it was a very good mini-series.
Both the book and the miniseries were fine (except for the mountains in Gary, Indiana) until they got to Colorado. Then they were both boring.
