Me too. I also stop watching Superhero movies because the video game offshoots are terrible. What? It's hard to disassociate compelling character action/drama with colorful marshmallows!
In all honesty, this one made me laugh. Obviously don't have the benefit of witnessing, but it seemed to me that he was just using exaggeration to make the point that the cereal was unforgivably bad.
The whole marketing principle (the truth in which people invest money, and get more money from) is that liking spider-man makes you like spider-man cereals better.
I don't really see why the reverse influence would be more absurd.
To be fair, the cereal is pretty awful. Maybe not "swear off comics forever" awful, but certainly "swear off ever trying another comic based cereal" awful.
That's the same reason I stopped reading the Boo Berry comic.

ReplyDeleteThat saga where Spiderman had to fight the giant spoon didn't help either.

ReplyDeleteNow I want to try the cereal, of course.

One More Day didn't do it, but the cereal did?!

ReplyDeleteThat new Spider-Man cereal is so gross that it made me stop eating spiders.
ReplyDeletespider-man should be eating these upside down.
ReplyDeleteSpider-Man: F**k you, gravity, I do my own thang!
