Meh. DC's stance that she's a 2000 year old straight virgin is a little ridiculous. I wouldn't say she's gay, but fucksake, almost everyone had at least ONE experience...
Agreed; just because Wonder Woman can do a bunch of the same stuff as Superman doesn't mean it isn't painfully obvious to anyone who looks back on Wonder Woman that she's at best bisexual, or should be. Marston, Olive, and Elizabeth are rolling in their graves, and I'm sure Hypolyta would not approve of an Amazon dating the most powerful man on Earth.
Yeah I also seemed to have missed the issue where they established her being lesbian. And while I dont think the New 52 is the best things since sliced bread there are actually a few good ones out there. I even like some of the bat titles most people dont like(it´s not catwoman or red hood, so please stop hitting me *hides with my arms raised above my head for protection*)
I don't read it but I think Gail Simone said she was a lesbian a while back. That's what happens when you make a super heroes sexuality a plot point when there is revolving door talent involved. One creator will write her as a lesbian, the next won't. What do readers get? The same thing they've been getting since about 1940. A mixed up confusing mess of continuation.
I'm pretty sure I read in one of those comics that Wonder Woman was pregnant with Superman's kid(s?). Even showed her swollen belly at the end. Forgot which one. Probably one of the many alternate universes.
Well, the last sentence is true, anyway.
ReplyDeleteI'd peg her statements as 100% false but to each his own.

ReplyDeleteI think its just nice to know that there are people who still listen to the band Toadies.
ReplyDeleteToadies...I've lost my mid '90s CD along the way.
DeleteWow, none of you just, you know, laughed when you read this? Personally I thought it was hilarious. Oh well.

DeleteOk, this did make me snicker...just a little bit.
ReplyDeleteWait, Wonder Woman is a lesbian?
ReplyDeleteI always though she was one of those bondage fetishists.
She's both, obviously.

ReplyDeleteStrong independent woman? Totally a lesbian.
ReplyDeleteWell, Supes does have rather long hair... maybe she just got confused for a second :P
