Actually, there was an episode in some comic where Iron Fist and some other hero discussed Spidaman's sexuality ("he has a hot wife? I thought he was gay! - So did I... you're wearing cute yellow boots. - Hey, these were a gift. - Yeah. From a guy").
I like to think we're reading her tone wrong and she's actually excited about the prospect of a gay Spidaman. I feel like that would have been a Brand New Day twist that would have made it a much more interesting storyline.
I'd like it if Spidey would become gay. It would really rock the heteronormative standard in the comic book industry. Not as much as a gay Captain America would. I'd really love to see the American symbol be a gay man.
@Masamundane: And watching him dance will make you gay. That is why everyone in my graduating class in high school was gay. Also, I had a friend who watched that damn gif so many times he could actually do the dance.
Since Archie is like a symbol of the 50s will there be KKK members lynching this gay character? And will he teach them a valuable moral lesson in a funny yet innoffensive and safe way?
Several Scans Daily members would like it if that were true. Heck, I would, since it would mean no more Carlie.
