You know, it's not just hipsters who have the attitude that things can't be any good if lots of people like it. They're just the most annoying about it. Either way it's a mindset that really bugs me.
@Jeff and Josh--gotta say, it might be just me (I am super tired of zombies in general) but TWD got really tedious for me right around the prison arc. Never went back.
Good timing on this one. A friend of mine just me her first email on her new iPhone last night. This comic was my reply today. She got it, and even she loled.
Norm McDonald said it best "I can't tell the difference between hipsters and hippies, but I know I love to watch people kick the shit out of them."
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of this is the Apple product in his hand, the irony is priceless.

ReplyDeleteI stopped reading The Walking Dead because it got to a point where it was really boring.
ReplyDelete@Josh Blair - Boring? Wow, TWD has never let up for an issue to me.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, the guy in the drawing obviously doesn't know who he is or what he likes if he has to arbitrarily base his actions on the actions of others.
Hiiiiiipster

ReplyDeleteYeah it has started to feel a bit "samey" since around issue 75 or so. Some might say earlier than that.
ReplyDeletei know it's titled "to his friend" but i still can't tell if that's a guy or a girl.
ReplyDeleteIt's not so bad being trendy.
ReplyDeleteEveryone who looks like me is my friend.
Obviously you are reading a different walking dead comic then the rest of us!
ReplyDeleteIf it really is bad, then what do you consider better?
The whole zombie thing is getting pretty played out now. Give it a rest for a few years.
